Take part in Williamstown’s 4th of July celebration!

Special events throughout the day include a fun run, free yoga, community swim, family activities and more.

And the Hometown Parade! Parade starts 11am starting on Southworth Street, following Main Street to Spring Street, and all the way to The Williams Inn.

Finish the day with fireworks on the golf course! Fireworks start 9 p.m. The Taconic Golf Club grounds open at 6 p.m. with BBQ available.

The day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the 13 former British colonies on July 4, 1776.

Massachusetts became the first state to recognize the Fourth of July as a statewide holiday in 1781.
