The ArtWorks Westfield Downtown Live! Friday Night Summer Concert Series is BACK! Launched in the summer of 2018 in the cozy confines of the performance space adjacent to Mina’s Wine & Spirits, this downtown Westfield 8-week summer concert series tradition moves across Elm Street into the new Elm Street Plaza adjacent to Blended Vintage Market Place.
These FREE community musical experiences happen each Friday evening from 7-9pm from June 28th to August 16th with several rain dates built into the mix. Beverages served up by White Lion Brewing Company will be available for purchase at each performance. Find White Lion Every Friday until August 30th. Beer Garden opens at 5:00pm.
All bands in the 2024 line-up have a connection to Westfield! The 2024 line-up has something for everyone.
- Opening night on June 28th features the Downtown Live! debut of Southern Rain, a top 40 country band with both male & female vocals playing everything you hear on the radio + more!
- Week 2: July 5th features The 413s, hottest new rock-n-roll band coming out of Western Massachusetts! A young, fun band that is quickly carving out their place in the western MA music scene, The 413s pride themselves on combining covers from some of their biggest inspirations like the Rolling Stones, George Thorogood, and The Doors with their own original rock songs.
Week 3: July 12th features a punk rock double header with the The Agonizers, a 4 piece punk/ska band and the Rock, Punk, and Psychobilly of the Creepin Cadavers.
- Week 4: July 19th marks the return of the Bad News Jazz & Blues Orchestra, a 19-piece jazz big band focusing on modern-era stage band music with classic influences. The band made their Downtown Live! series debut in 2023 – they were a smash hit!
- Week 5: July 26th brings October Mountain Band back to center city Westfield, a 4-piece Rock, Blues and Reggae band performing covers and original material ranging from 70’s to today! The OMB made their Downtown Live! debut during the 2022 season.
- Week 6: Aug 2nd welcomes Whitaker Hill back to downtown Westfield. A 4 piece blues, rock, and country cover band from Westfield, the band last appeared in the Downtown Live! series in the summer of 2022, the summer of the Great Swatting Incident!
- Week 7: Aug 9 brings Whiskey Traveler back to the Elm Street Plaza stage after playing at the plaza grand opening on May 3. Whiskey Traveler is an alternative Country/Americana band from Western MA, formed in 2015 by Jessica and Bernie Dion.
- Week 8 Aug 16th The season finale features the eclectic mixture of songs featuring soulful vocals & powerfully melodic guitar of the Piper Hopkins Band.
