Smith College Museum of Art, Exhibit

Join us for a reception to celebrate the opening of Younes Rahmoun: Here, Now. This is the first North American exhibition devoted to the work of Younes Rahmoun, one of Morocco’s leading contemporary artists.

The exhibition galleries are located on the first floor and lower level. Complimentary light refreshments and cash bar in the atrium. This event is free and open to the public.

Please note: During the opening,  the first floor (including museum shop) and lower level will be open; the second and third floor will be closed to visitors.

Younes Rahmoun: Here, Now

“Younes Rahmoun: Here, Now” is the first survey for multidisciplinary artist Younes Rahmoun. Born in 1975 in Tetouan, Morocco, where he continues to live and work, Rahmoun is a leading figure in contemporary art internationally as well as a dedicated mentor and teacher to subsequent generations of artists in Morocco.

Free Admission at SCMA

Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA) is free to all starting immediately! SCMA ends paid admission to all activities including exhibitions, public programming and art-making to provide access and inclusion in the arts.

Thousands of visitors annually enjoy programming, exhibitions and installations curated from 28,000 objects and artworks in the SCMA collection. Free admission has been made possible by Smith alumnae Jan Fullgraf Golann ’71 and Jane Timken ‘64.
