This will be a sensory-friendly cruise designed to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for people with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other social, learning, or cognitive disabilities. Modifications may include unamplified narration and alternative or shortened routes. Sensory kits including headphones, sunglasses, water timers, and sensory ‘fidget toys’ will be available to borrow.
Enjoy a relaxing hour-and-a-half interpretive cruise on the Connecticut River! The 2024 Heritage Riverboat operating schedule is from July until Indigenous Peoples Day on October 14th, Wednesday through Sunday with departure times at 11:00 AM, 1:15 PM, and 3:00 PM. Cruises depart from our Riverview picnic area dock at 100 Ferry Road in Northfield, MA.
Prices: $15/Adult, $14/Senior (age 62 and older), $8/Age 14 and under. Group price for 15 or more is $14 each.
No Pets and please do not leave pets unattended.
Northfield Mountain reserves the right to cancel cruises due to high water, weather conditions, mechanical issues, or illness. Full refunds will be given if we cancel your cruise.
Tickets should be purchased ahead of time online. You may also buy them in person at the dock, but we can’t guarantee that there will be any open seats remaining. The riverboat is located at 144 Pine Meadow Road in Northfield, MA.
No tickets will be sold from the Northfield Mountain Visitor Center going forward.
