One of the most scenic races in New England. Running along the mostly wooded banks of the Green River, from Marlboro College in Vermont to Greenfield Community College in Massachusetts, the downhill course features a net 1,450-foot drop. If you like small, rural, community races through some of the most beautiful landscape in New England, then this is the marathon for you. This race will raise funds for the Connecticut River Conservancy’s efforts to preserve and clean-up the Green River, one of the many tributaries that flow into the Connecticut River.
7:00 a.m. – Marathon starts at Potash Hill Campus in Marlboro Vermont. The starting mats are rolled up soon after the start corral empties, so don’t be late!
10:30 a.m. – Awards ceremony for top three female and male finishers. Awards for age groups and physically challenged divisions will be on a rolling basis as they finish.
10:30 to 1:30 – Food and drink available from local vendors at the finish
