The Butterfly is in a small heart shaped ornament approximately 3″ in diameter. Your real preserved butterfly died in good shape from our butterfly conservatory or responsible butterfly farm and never killed or taken from nature. It is sealed in this ornament and with proper care should last forever.
About half the species in the ornaments were found in good condition in our facility. The other half come from farms in other countries where they are sustainably farmed and have died naturally. It takes years to accrue ones that die in good enough shape for art which is why supplies are limited at times.
