Spend some time holding and interacting with reptiles where turtles, frogs, or lizards are just a short car ride away.
National Reptile Awareness Day is every year on October 21.
As if the butterflies weren’t enough, we have plenty of other critters here at Magic Wings! Among our various bugs and lizards that can be observed – and even held – we have some small friends that are loose in the conservatory. This is Smiley, one of the gray tree frogs that calls the garden home. If you have a sharp eye when you visit, you may just get lucky enough to spot him!
Magic Wings is a huge facility. An 8000 square-foot tropical conservatory with nearly 4000 free-flying tropical and native butterflies from all over the world! We also have exotic reptiles, frogs, fish, birds & insects to see up close and personal.
There are four orders of species: the Crocodilia (crocodiles, alligators, etc.), the Tuatara (lizard-like), the Squamata, (includes lizards and snakes), and the Testudines (turtles, tortoises, and terrapins).
