Amelia Park Arena is a nonprofit community facility that sees over 500,000 visitors annually as it operates a sports and event complex serving the entire community of Westfield and the Pioneer Valley. The facility was financed by the late philanthropist Albert Ferst in memory of his wife Amelia. Throughout their lifetimes, the Fersts made it a priority to give back to the community, especially the youth, in providing positive opportunities for them.
The main arena is a 47,000 square foot facility that includes an NHL sized ice rink with a capacity for over 1,000 spectators for hockey, five large team rooms, three conference/party rooms, skate rental and sharpening areas, and a fully overhauled concession service re-opening in the fall. The arena floor can also be used for trade shows, expos and concerts. Outside, the Arena operates a 65′ x 170′ Dek and inline skating rink and manages the 1.3 acre gardens.
